Google set to takeover with Chrome

I haven't tested yet - since I am a loyal Mac user and even though it sounds interesting and Parallels is itching to load it up am going to wait till they unleash it for Mac...

It seems that Google is slowly taking over the internet (and maybe the world) one service, app, search, and now browser at a time. This latest stealth product has to have sent Microsoft brass into a tissy. With Google's apps, docs, blogger, gmail, talk, calendar, gears, and now Chrome - it looks as if the days of the desktop are now on the clock.

In 3 -5 years computers as we know them with large internal memory, installed software will be a thing of the past. Software, files, and everything else will exist on a cloud and will be tapped into by your browser. Google gets it and has pieced together a solution that will finally enable this to happen.

Remind me why I didn't get some of their stock right after the IPO?

Now on the menu - McPalin $1.16

72 Yrs + 44 yrs = $1.16 ...just off the dollar menu

Out of left field comes Sarah Palin - and whether it was just a play to get the Hilary supporters or to throw the Obama campaign for a loop it was a great strategic move by the McCain camp. He is sure to keep his base happy with this move and if it can get him an extra 3-5% who knows what will happen.

Even when people say his age is the issue...he still is sharp enough to surprise the world...and whatever side of the fence you lean, in this day of 24/7 media coverage thats pretty tough. Kudos to McPalin.

Russia vs the World

It seems to me like Russia is acting strange these days. As their economy rebounds (Moscow is one of the most expensive cities in the world to live), their oil reserves continue to fill the pockets of wealthy Russians, the gov't continues to push the envelope with Iran, and the supposed cease fire in Georgia haven't panned out - all the signs are pointing to Russia becoming a big time threat again.

Can't we just all get along?

Obamania + Biden = ?

The Obama train has seemingly been unstoppable over the last few months - but now that the Veepstakes are over and Obama has chosen Joe Biden will Obamania continue?

Biden definitely is outspoken, but is he a good fit for the agent of change? Not sure - but I do know one thing...he will make this campaign more interesting! Commercials are already out by the McCain camp showing Biden bashing Obama and prasing McCain...should be a fun fall.

Cooking Up Some Espionage!

Records released by the National Archives today divulge that Julia Childs...the slightly creepy old lady chef was a SPY?!?!

Can't wait to see the recipes they release...microfiche pie...yum.

McCain Vs Obama

McCain vs Obama

Old vs Young
Black vs White
Experience vs In-Experience

In this election more than ever it seems there are more drastic contrasts between the candidates than I can remember in recent years. I wonder which issue will cause the contest to really tilt one way or the other?

I can see positives and negatives for both but this is the first time I can remember there being so many people interested in the outcome...and that has to be a good thing for the country.
